LOCATION
Ever since the first Dutch tourists arrived on Bali
in the early 30s of last century, Bali has never failed to charm visitors
from all over the world. Known for its balmy weather, lush green rice
fields, tropical vegetation and deep azure blue seas against a backdrop
of perfectly shaped volcanic cones, rich exotic culture and ever smiling
population, Bali rates as one of the worlds top vacation destinations.
Pandit Nehru called the island “the morning of the world”.
In the early 80’s, divers started discovering
Bali in earnest. Bali’s dive tourism saw an increase of globetrotting
divers of almost 20 % a year during the last decade. This trend continues.
One of Bali’s prime dive destinations is the Tulamben area. The
Scuba Seraya Resort is situated 3 km before the village of Tulamben on
its own private sandy beach near Tanjung Muntig. It overlooks the Lombok
strait with Lombok Island a distance away against the gentle slope rising
towards the peak of Gunung Agung in the immediate background. |
